Episode 50: Bye for Now – Closing Season One
Description:
Today isn’t a “lesson” episode… or a “deep dive” into a single topic. It’s more of a heart-to-heart. You and me, sitting down together for a chat.
Because this is the final episode of Season One.
And I just want to say thank you. Truly. Whether you’ve been listening since Episode One or you’re here for the first time today, I’m grateful for you.
I know your time is precious. I know life is busy. And the fact that you’ve chosen to spend even a few minutes with me means more than you can imagine.
Looking Back on Season One
When I think back on where we started, it’s honestly hard to believe how much ground we’ve covered together. We’ve talked about breaking free from toxic family patterns, about the courage it takes to walk away from harmful relationships—even when people around you don’t understand.
We’ve dug into what it really means to heal—not just put a bandage on the wound and move on, but to sit with the discomfort, to do the messy inner work, to face our stories with honesty and compassion.
And yes, there have been some heavy moments. I’ve shared parts of my own story—times I’ve wrestled with pain, with loss, with my own cycles I desperately wanted to break. But we’ve also celebrated the wins, the breakthroughs, and the moments of deep self-recognition.
Because healing isn’t just about what you’re letting go of—it’s about what you’re building.

Episode Title: Bye for Now – Closing Season One
Welcome back to Cycle Breaker and Change Maker. I’m your host, Renata Ortega… and this episode is going to be a little different.

Why This Isn’t Goodbye Forever
So… why am I pausing the podcast?
It’s simple: I want to give you my best. And right now, that means taking a step back from the microphone to focus on writing something I’ve been dreaming about for a long time… a book.
This isn’t just any book. It’s the book I wish I had when I was right in the middle of my own healing journey—when I was second-guessing myself, when I was exhausted from trying to “fix” everything and everyone, when I needed a reminder that I was worth the work.
This book will be a guide you can hold in your hands. Something you can turn to at 2 a.m. when your thoughts are spinning. Something with exercises and prompts to help you dig deeper, and stories to remind you that you’re not alone in this.
Think of it as a companion to this podcast. Everything we’ve talked about here? We’re going to expand it, connect the dots, and give you more tools to use in your daily life.
How You Can Stay Connected
While I’m away from the mic, you don’t have to miss out on Cycle Breaker and Change Maker. All the episodes from Season One will still be there for you—free to replay any time. And I actually recommend going back and listening again. You’ll be surprised what you hear the second time around. Sometimes the same words land in a whole new way when you’re in a different place in your journey.
If you want to stay connected, make sure you’re following me on Instagram—that’s where I’ll be sharing behind-the-scenes updates on the book, sneak peeks at what’s coming, and little reminders to keep going when things get tough.
And… if you believe in what I’m doing here, and you want to help make Season Two possible, there’s a way to support the show for as little as $3 a month. Honestly, your support is what will keep this podcast alive.

A Final Word for Now
Before I sign off for this season, I want to leave you with this:
You are not too much. You are not too broken. And you are not behind.
Every single step you take toward healing—no matter how small it feels—is rewriting your story. You are breaking cycles every time you choose peace over chaos. Every time you say “no” to what harms you. Every time you let yourself rest instead of push.
You are a cycle breaker. You are a change maker. And the work you’re doing matters—not just for you, but for everyone who comes after you.
I am so proud of you.
And I can’t wait to share the book with you, to come back for Season Two, and to keep walking this journey side by side.
So, for now… it’s not goodbye. It’s just “see you soon.”
Stay kind. Stay brave. And keep breaking the cycle.
